Designed by The Wischmeyer Architects

The focal point of this facility, completed in 1995, is the lobby/entrance. It combines an information center, patient registration, pre-examinations, waiting area, caf? and pharmacy. With its distinct entry, the 169,779-square-foot facility brings together outpatient registration, an outpatient examination area, an outpatient/short stay surgery preparation and recovery area and an endoscopy suite. Daylighting and the use of natural materials are key to the airy, warm feeling of this space, which provides an unexpected, fresh image for this healing environment.

Among the challenges of the project were providing a comfortable, non-institutional environment for outpatient diagnosis and treatment while increasing staff efficiency and responding to patients' needs for privacy, dignity and convenience.
