Southern states including Florida, Louisiana and Texas face some of the greatest financial risks from global warming, according to a study of the economic implications of climate change for the US.
According to the Financial Times, the Risky Business report - backed by three former U.S. Treasury secretaries - estimates potential costs of problems such as flooding caused by rising temperatures and higher sea levels.
The study seeks to spark debate on the issue in the U.S.
