The University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation increased its projection for U.S. coronavirus deaths as stay-at-home orders lift across the country.
The institute now predicts more than 130,000 deaths, on the high end of its range forecast, from COVID-19.
The report pointed to "many states experiencing flatter and thus longer epidemic peaks."
