A Pew Research Center analysis of Census Bureau data found millennial households are poorer than any other generation.
According to the study, 5.3 million of the nearly 17 million U.S. households below the poverty line in 2016 were millennials.
The study found millennials were the owners of 28 million U.S. households last year, despite having the largest population of nearly 80 million.
