A study by the National Center of Education Statistics found students who attend for-profit schools are twice as likely or more to dafault on their loans.
Fifty-two percent of students who went to for-profits defaulted on their loan. That compares with 17 percent for those who attended four-year public colleges and 26 percent at community colleges.
For-profit students defaulted on their loans in greater numbers than their predecessors eight years ago, according to the study.
