StubHub becomes jersey sponsor for Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers today became the first team in the NBA to announce the name of a corporate sponsor to appear on the team's jerseys
California-based ticket sales service StubHub has partnered with the basketball team to feature its logo on the jerseys starting in the 2017-18 season.
Last month, the NBA Board of Governors voted to allow teams to sell a 2.5-inch-by-2.5-inch space on the NBA jersey under a three-year pilot program.
Jersey patch sales are estimated to grow league revenue by $100 million, or $3 million per team, according to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
