Boeing workers who have been on strike for more than seven weeks voted to accept the company's latest contract offer.
International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union officials said 59% of members voted in favor of the proposal that includes a 38% wage hike over four years, along with ratification and productivity bonuses.
“While the past few months have been difficult for all of us, we are all part of the same team,” Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg said in a message to employees. “We will only move forward by listening and working together. There is much work ahead to return to the excellence that made Boeing an iconic company.”
