The utility relocation work is one of several infrastructure improvement projects in the area that will lead to more street closures in the next few months.
The city has designated areas for public parking to accommodate the College Station construction and the nearby development of the Heer’s building.
A lot has been leased from the Sertoma organization on Campbell Avenue between Walnut and McDaniel streets. Another lot on Main Avenue south of Olive Street also is being developed.
Several city-owned lots located just east and west of Campbell Avenue also will be available for public parking in the evenings and on weekends.
The lot on McDaniel Street between Campbell and Market avenues will continue to be available until construction on College Station begins early next year.
