Strafford manufacturer buys Arizona company

Posted online
DustShield LLC, a division of American Products LLC of Strafford, has purchased a kiosk manufacturing and marketing company based in Tempe, Ariz.

DustShield, an e-commerce business and industrial computer enclosures manufacturer, closed Feb. 28 for an undisclosed amount on the acquisition of Phoenix Kiosks, which specializes in retail and service stand-alone kiosks and digital signage, according to a March 19 news release.

“Bringing together Phoenix Kiosk’s technology and marketing solutions with our long history in manufacturing will give our clients more options for their profitability and branding initiatives” DustShield President Kent Claxton said in the release. “In keeping our eye on the future, the trend to automate tasks and deliver advanced customer/user experiences is not slowing down. We want to accelerate the deployment of these solutions."

Phoenix Kiosks will continue to operate in Arizona under the same name through the acquisition, but has become a subsidiary of DustShield.

According to the release, Phoenix Kiosks will benefit from the increased manufacturing power associated with 140,000 square feet of sheet metal production operated by DustShield in Strafford. The acquisition also would expand Phoenix Kiosks' offerings to include outdoor environments.

DustShield, which largely serves North American companies with its manufacturing protective computer and peripheral enclosures and workstations, was founded in 1992 and acquired by American Products in 2010.
