The $1.6 million, 6,100-square foot center is located on Stockton Lake and its eight surrounding parks, all owned and managed by the Corps.
The Senator Kit Bond Information Center is named after Bond, who secured funding for the area’s redevelopment following the natural disaster.
Administrative office space for Corps staff also is included in the center.
The Corps operates the Stockton Lake Project, which provides hydroelectric power, water supply storage, fish and wildlife management and water sports recreation.
