The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been selected for a $640 million loan from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
The loan will cover the costs associated with upgrading the district's wastewater system.
It's the largest loan in the history of the state's clean water fund, the Missouri Independent reports.
