STL safety director resigns to join public company

Dan Isom, the interim public safety director for the city of St. Louis, penned his resignation.

Isom, who has served in the interim role since April 2021, is slated to start next month with energy company Ameren Corp. as vice president of corporate safety, security and crisis management.

A national search for a permanent leader at the municipality has been launched. Deputy Fire Chief and Fire Marshal Charles Coyle has been named the next interim public safety director.
