St. Louis radio station KDHX has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
"This process allows us to honor our financial obligations, protect our long-standing relationships and explore ways to redesign community media in service to our whole community," said Gary Pierson, board president of Double Helix Corp., the nonprofit that operates KDHX, in a statement.
The station in January fired most of its volunteers and started broadcasting prerecorded content.
