STL private equity firm buys Freddy's Frozen Custard

St. Louis private equity firm Thompson Street Capital Partners purchased restaurant chain Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The company has more than 360 franchised restaurants and around 30 company-operated eateries in some 30 states.

"There remains a large segment of the country where we are not present and by partnering with Thompson Street we will be better able to expand in those areas and continue our strong growth going forward," said CEO Randy Simon.
