STL picks redevelopers of shuttered Bevo Mill

Posted online
St. Louis’ Land Clearance Authority this week unanimously selected the redevelopers for south St. Louis’ historic Bevo Mill.

Pat and Carol Schuchard, owners of Boo Cat Club and an event space called Majorette, won out over restaurateurs Paul and Wendy Hamilton, owners of Vin de Set and 1111 Mississippi.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Schuchards agreed to pay $500,000 for the property and will renovate the landmark for between $4 million and $5 million with a few tax incentives. Plans call for a restaurant, coffee shop, beer garden and a bed and breakfast.
