St. Louis government officials are exploring the creation of a guaranteed income plan for poor residents.
Alderman Shameem Clark-Hubbard is set to introduce a bill that would use $5 million in federal pandemic aid for the program.
The bill also would have funding for people who have lost their homes, the creation of a year-round summer jobs program for youths and the expansion of health care offerings in St. Louis.
