Gov. Mike Parson selected St. Louis Judge Robin Ransom for the Eastern District Appeals Court.
Ransom, a judge in St. Louis since 2008, fills the spot left vacant by Judge Lisa Van Amburg, who retired in August.
Missouri's three regional appeals courts are one step lower than the state's Supreme Court, according to The Associated Press.
