Heartland Regional Investment Fund, a subsidiary of the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, has been awarded $50 million in new markets tax credits.
The tax credits come from the U.S. Department of the Treasury Community Development Financial Institutions Fund.
HRIF, which provides financing to projects in distressed communities, plans to issue a request for proposals later this year.
