St. Louis received a C on an affordable housing report card funded by the faith-based nonprofit Deaconess Foundation.
The city scored worse in some areas, with Fs to housing options for families making less than half the region’s median income, for Black households and for renters.
More than 80% of the region's wealthiest residents and more than 80% of white homeowners live in housing deemed affordable by the report.
