Posted online

The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership filed suit against former CEO Sheila Sweeney and former Chief Financial Officer Joyce Steiger.

The lawsuit accuses the former executives of running a “conspiracy” to pay themselves over $200,000 in unauthorized bonuses.

The lawsuit filed Dec. 17 comes more than a year after Missouri Auditor Nicole Galloway’s office found Sweeney and Steiger issued more than $350,000 in unauthorized bonuses to themselves and other employees, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
