STL developer seeks TIF money for $44M project

The Koman Group wants $8.7 million in tax increment financing to support development of its planned $43.5 million, five-story mixed-used development across the street from Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

The project, if completed, would be the first new office development in downtown St. Louis in three decades.

Koman's TIF application also indicated the company is negotiating with an anchor tenant that could move 310 jobs currently located in several offices. That tenant could potentially add 280 more jobs in the future.
