The St. Louis couple who pointed weapons at protestors outside of their home this summer are scheduled to speak next week at the Republican National Convention.
Mark and Patricia McCloskey each were charged last month with one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon. They made national news when pictures showed up of the couple brandishing guns as protestors marched through their private street en route to the mayor's house.
President Donald Trump and Missouri Gov. Mike Parson both have denounced the decision to charge the McCloskeys. Parson has said he would pardon the couple if they are convicted.
