The city of St. Louis is considering a plan that would make landlords register with the government.
"It will help the city better keep track of who is owning certain properties so if there's issues with properties there's a local agent requirement, instead of trying to track down a random person registered to an LLC, which is often a challenge," said St. Louis Aldermanic President Megan Green.
Landlords also would need to disclose rental prices to help the city keep track of them.
