St. Louis beer heiress Trudy Busch Valentine announced her bid for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Missouri.
Valentine, the daughter of late Anheuser-Busch beer baron August “Gussie” Busch Jr., is running as a Democrat. She's been a major fundraiser for Democratic candidates, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Former state Sen. Scott Sifton decided to exit the race for the U.S. Senate seat and support Valentine upon the news.
