The St. Louis Board of Aldermen approved legislation that makes changes to lot size requirements.
The legislation reduces the lot size required for single-family homes to 2,000 square feet from 4,000 square feet and two-family homes to 2,500 square feet from 5,000 square feet.
The board also approved legislation stating that children under the age of 6 no longer count toward occupancy limits in housing.
