St. Louis-based agriculture corporation Bunge Ltd. (NYSE: BG) is buying a Louisiana refinery to expand its oils and fats business.
Bunge Loders Croklaan, a joint venture with Malaysia-based IOI Corporation Berhad, penned a deal to buy the refinery for undisclosed terms.
“This acquisition delivers on our long-term strategy to expand our value-added oils business by accelerating reach across North America. This facility will connect with our existing footprint and enable Bunge to better serve our customers,” said Aaron Buettner, Bunge’s president of food solutions.
