St. Louis-based Stifel Financial Corp. penned a deal to buy Memphis, Tennessee, institutional brokerage Vining Sparks.
The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter this year. The financial terms were undisclosed.
“This transaction brings together two similar client-centric institutional fixed income businesses based on a philosophy of providing value-added services supported by strategy, analytics and technology," said Ron Kruszewski, Stifel's chair and CEO.
