Sterling withdraws support of Clippers sale to Ballmer

Just five days after he said yes, LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling has changed his mind about selling his team.

Bloomberg reports Sterling dropped his support for the $2 billion sale to former Microsoft Corp. CEO Steve Ballmer and will pursue a $1 billion antitrust lawsuit against the National Basketball Association because the league hasn’t agreed to revoke a lifetime ban and $2.5 million fine over Sterling’s racist comments to a girlfriend.

Sterling's lawyer said his client and the NBA had an "understanding" if he agreed to the sale, charges would be dropped. When they weren't, Sterling decided to move forward.
