Regulated medical waste includes single-use disposable items such as needles, syringes and gloves, as well as laboratory, surgical and emergency supplies that have contacted blood, bodily fluids, cultures or stocks of infectious agents.|ret||ret||tab|

Generators of medical waste include hospitals, nursing facilities, health clinics, veterinary clinics, schools, municipalities, EMTs, fire and police departments and motels.|ret||ret||tab|
