Famed physicist Stephen Hawking died at his Cambridge home early Wednesday. He was 76.
Hawking at age 22 was given a few years to live after being diagnosed with a rare form of motor neurone disease. The illness forced him into a wheelchair and left him largely unable to speak - except through a voice synthesiser.
The British scientist was known for his work regarding black holes and relativity, as well as his book "A Brief History of Time."
