PHH Mortgage Corp. agreed to pay $45 million in a multistate settlement.
Missouri's Josh Hawley was among attorneys general who sued PHH over allegations of improverly serviced mortgage loans.
"This settlement holds PHH to account for its improper loan servicing practices and demonstrates our continued dedication to fighting bad business practices," Hawley said in a statement.
