State unemployment rate sticks at 9.4%

Missouri's November seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was unchanged from October at 9.4 percent, according to a Missouri Department of Economic Development news release.

Total nonfarm payroll employment was 2.65 million during the month, a seasonally adjusted drop of 6,000 jobs from October.

Missouri's November nonseasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose four-tenths of a point to 9.2 percent, compared to 8.8 percent in October.

The state's nonseasonally adjusted payroll employment decreased by 5,500 jobs.

The national seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was 9.8 percent, two-tenths of a point higher than the 9.6 percent rate in the prior three months, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.[[In-content Ad]]
