After it gave preliminary approval last week, the Missouri Senate yesterday passed an infrastructure bonding bill.
The bill, which passed 26-7 in the Senate, sets up $301 million in bonds to be paid back over seven years. The funding is contingent on the Missouri Department of Transportation receiving a federal grant. The bill allocates $50 million up front to "jump start" certain bridge projects.
The bridge-repair legislation now heads to the Missouri House.
