The state of Missouri has revoked the marijuana manufacturing license of a company operating in Springfield.
C & C Manufacturing LLC had its license revoked by the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation, which is part of the state Department of Health and Senior Services, according to a news release.
DHSS Communications Director Lisa Cox said the facility is listed in state records at 5534 W. State Highway 266. She noted, as well, that C & C Manufacturing has the option to appeal the revocation decision to the Missouri Administrative Hearing Commission.
The phone number listed in state marijuana records for C & C Manufacturing was not active this morning.
Division of Cannabis Regulation officials pointed to a recent investigation of C & C Manufacturing. In August 2024, the division issued a recall for marijuana products due to C & C Manufacturing including THC – the active ingredient in marijuana – that was sourced from unregulated cannabis. The division suspended C & C Manufacturing's license in September 2024, and in January, the division discovered the removal or destruction of marijuana products and video records at C & C Manufacturing's facility amid a notice of pending revocation.
“The department enforces its regulations to uphold the Missouri Constitution and ensure safe access to marijuana product at our licensed facilities," said Amy Moore, Division of Cannabis Regulation director, in the release. "C & C’s use of unregulated THC to create marijuana products, numerous violations of rule, and destruction of product and records in direct violation of DCR orders demonstrates clear disregard for law at the expense of health and safety and has no place in Missouri’s regulated market."
