Collections for fiscal 2008 so far are up 4.5 percent to $3.05 billion, from $2.92 billion last year. November also showed a gain, with collections increasing 6.2 percent to $613.9 million from $577.9 million in November 2006.
Sales and use tax collections are up 1.2 percent for the year to $853.9 million and were up 3.2 percent for November. Individual income tax collections, meanwhile, are up 7.6 percent for the year so far to $2.06 billion and grew 6.1 percent for the month.
Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections have gained 4.2 percent for the year to $189.7 million but fell 14 percent for the month.
All other collections were down – 2.3 percent for the year to $174.4 million, and 4.2 percent for the month.
Refunds grew 14.1 percent for the year to $229.6 million and decreased 18 percent for November.
