State GOP schedules Branson convention

The Missouri Republican State Committee has scheduled its annual convention May 20-21 in Branson for the second time in five years.

It’s the first time the GOP will convene at the Branson Convention Center and Branson Hilton Hotel and Suites, according to Branson Tri-Lakes News. In 2012, the state group gathered at Chateau on the Lake.

About 3,600 people are expected in the spring of this critical political year, Tri-Lakes News reports, to introduce candidates for state offices, appoint committee members, elect officers and review party rules.
