The Missouri gas average fell 10 cents during the past week to $3.29 per gallon yesterday.
The June 30 average, determined via a GasBuddy.com survey of 3,940 filling stations, represents a 28.5-cent decrease month to month but a 12-cent increase year to year. The national average, which dipped 5.7 cents to $3.50 per gallon during the past week, has decreased 13.6 cents during the past month but increased 12.9 cents during the past year, according to a news release.
"After an impressive surge abated several weeks ago, we're seeing gasoline prices decline nicely," GasBuddy.com senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan said in the release. "The national average is likely to continue its decline this week as retail prices catch up to the decrease in wholesale gasoline prices."
