State court authorities are asking legislators for $2.5 million in a supplemental budget to help meet a deadline for marijuana expungements.
The funds would allow circuit clerks to pay their employees overtime hours to work on the process.
All marijuana-related misdemeanors must be expunged by June 8 and felonies by Dec. 8 under Amendment 3, which legalized recreational marijuana in Missouri.
