State conference covers top energy issues

Energy and utility experts, including City Utilities of Springfield General Manager John Twitty, are in Columbia today and Thursday to discuss energy issues facing Missouri.

The two-day conference held by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry is 1-4:30 p.m. today at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Columbia and 8:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Bond Life Science Center at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Discussion topics focus on climate change today and will focus on utilities and energy tomorrow. Click the link below for a complete agenda.

The event's keynote speaker is Mark Templeton, director of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources; he will speak during lunch on Thursday.
