Starwood offers $1.2B mall portfolio

Starwood Capital Group has put up for sale U.S. malls valued at $1.2 billion, people familiar with the matter told the Chicago Tribune.

The company hired Eastdil Secured to broker the sale.

The malls being sold were acquired from Westfield Corp., including assets in Chicago, San Francisco and Cleveland.
