Starbucks warned investors its 2018 global cafe sales growth could be on the low end of its forecast.
Officials cited a 2 percent increase in sales at established Americas region cafes during its key holiday months.
“Holiday (limited-time offers) and merchandise did not resonate with our customers as planned,” CEO Kevin Johnson said in a conference call with analysts.
Shares were down 5.2 percent on the news.
