Starbucks is apologizing to the Tempe Police Department in Arizona after a barista asked six officers to leave a store on July 4.
A customer reportedly complained the officers made him feel unsafe.
Starbucks called the incident "completely unacceptable." It has sent executives to apologize in person.
The incident sparked online protests calling for boycotts of the coffee chain.
