'Star Wars' ticket sales blast off as opening looms

With just days until "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" flies into theaters, ticket sales have taken off at the speed of light.

Data from MovieTickets.com indicate the Disney film accounts for 87 percent of all ticket sales.

Analysts project an opening weekend of $200 million to $220 million.

It could be enough for the largest debut in U.S. history. In June, "Jurassic World" set that record with its $208.8 million debut.

"Star Wars" releases Dec. 18.
