'Star Wars' awakens to biggest box office opening ever

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" had the largest debut in U.S. history.

In the U.S. this weekend, the film brought in an estimated $238 million.

That beats the previous record held by Universal's "Jurassic World," which made $208.8 million on the weekend it opened in June.

Since opening overseas Wednesday, "Star Wars" has made $517 million around the world.
