Missouri State University is inviting internal and external stakeholders to participate in a new strategic planning initiative.
The process, which starts Sept. 30, would set the university's 2025-30 strategic plan, according to a news release. During the planning process, the school intends to gather input from employees, students, alumni, donors, local businesses and legislators.
“We encourage as much valuable feedback as possible from our stakeholders on and off campus,” MSU President Biff Williams said in the release. “The information we receive will shape the goals we focus on for the rest of the process and we’ll continue to welcome input.”
MSU has set up a 2025-30 strategic plan website, where stakeholders can submit feedback and learn about opportunities to participate.
The new strategic plan would replace the current initiative for 2021-26, officials say.
The first phase of the new strategic planning effort, running September-October, includes listening sessions and an interactive workshop. Four phases are planned through July 2025, when the new strategic plan would take effect, according to the release.
“This new plan will define Missouri State’s priorities, goals and objectives, and move the university forward,” Williams said in the release.
Ken Brown, chief academic strategy officer, and Zora Mulligan, executive vice president, will co-chair a strategic plan committee that will comprise faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members.
