Stakeholders broke ground Monday on a $24 million mixed-use development in Kansas City's historic jazz district known as 18th and Vine.
Called The Parker, the project from 18th and Vine Developers LLC is named for jazz icon Charlie Parker.
The project, which calls on commercial and residential space, will renovate a building that's been home to the House of Hits, Fox’s Tavern and Piccolos.
