St. Peters-based CarShield reached a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission.
CarShield, along with Colorado-based American Auto Shield, which administers its contracts, will pay $10 million in settlement charges, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
CarShield has been accused of allegedly deceiving customers about its products. The FTC complaint described misleading and aggressive telemarketing tactics.
