The St. Louis Zoo is adding an $11.5 million new attraction called Primate Canopy Trails.
With an expected opening in two years, the 35,000-square-foot outdoor exhibit for the zoo's primates will be free to patrons and funded by donations.
“We can only imagine what it will be like for some of these animals who have never felt the sun on their face,” said Heidi Hellmuth, the zoo’s curator of primates. “It’s going to be life-changing.”
