St. Louis voters reject $180 million bond issue

St. Louis voters yesterday rejected a $180 million bond issue that would have raised money for a host of improvements.

Backed by companies such as Anheuser-Busch, the bonds would have funded improvements to police and fire department buildings and roads and bridges, among other projects, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

City voters gave 61 percent approval to the ballot issue, but it required 66 percent.
