St. Louis-based trucking company Hogan is building a new Springfield branch just north of Partnership Industrial Center.

The facility at East Mustard Way and North Ingram Avenue would replace Hogan’s leased space at 2215 E. Division St. The company has operated in Springfield for about 15 years, said Craig Thoelke, vice president of sales for Hogan Truck Leasing Inc.

“We’ve successfully grown our Springfield base of business and we’ve outgrown our current facility, so we’re expanding our facility size and overall capabilities,” Thoelke said.

Thoelke, who was unsure what the square footage of new facility would be, said it would be 50 percent larger than its current Springfield branch and parking would be over twice as large. Thoelke said the branch would offer commercial truck leasing and fleet maintenance services. He declined to disclose how many trucks would be on site. A building permit is not on file with the city of Springfield.

No general contractor has been selected for the project, 2821 N. Ingram Ave., which is slated to begin in early 2016 and wrap up in the third quarter next year.

Hogan closed on the purchase of the 5.4-acre property in July. The property has a 2015 appraised value of $638,700, according to the assessor.

Declining to disclose investment costs for the new branch, Thoelke said the company’s 14 Springfield employees would move to the new facility with plans to hire more.

The Hogan trucking company is unrelated to Hogan Land Title Co.
